23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Valentine's Day has come to mean more to me than romance. Years past, expectations on how I thought our celebrations and moments had to happen left me frustrated and disappointed as we didn't always have babysitters or Jeremy had to work long. So as the babies have come, and life has been busy, we have made our own fun parties. Homemade Valentines (initially years ago because we didn't have the money to buy the cute ones), and now Jeremy brings home sweets while I prepare a special dinner for all of us. This year was tacos, because life is...you know...busy with little guys as my helpers.
6:15 pm, Jeremy and the gang come tired through the door. On the other side the little ones had decided to greet them, posted like sentries at the door, with a loud and happy, simultaneous "Happy Valentine's Day!!!!" The candles were lit, they had set the table with a white cloth, Frank Sinatra played loudly and the basket on the wall overflowed with homemade Valentines.
We had our dinner together and moved into the living room after where we shared our momentos.
Looks like the perfect Valentine's Day!
