Manna for the Journey

Isaiah 26:3 You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

Oh summer. What will be said of you?

The detours, the flat tires, the sunrises, the sunsets. The sounds of beautiful, the cries of sadness and disappointments. The hopes deferred, the desires fulfilled. The sweat on the brow, the assurance that comes on the wings of faith. The plantings. The weedings. The reapings. The learning of trust.

The pangs and pains of growth. The joys and blessedness of growth.

Sunday school lessons of the Israelites cross the path of my heart's rhythm, and teachings reinforce what could be just words and lessons from ancient times. It becomes real when you live it.

Teach me to trust You Lord.

Because I'm working hard :) in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, to be thankful in everything, today I'm thanking the Lord for:

~ the Word. In season.

~ friendship of the lasting kind

~ a time to be silent

~ a time to speak

~ a time to embrace

~ a time to let go

~ teaching Sunday School and

~ worship leading with little ones. So good for the heart!

~ fresh homeschool year.

~ closed doors

~ dinners to celebrate

  1. Learning to trust right alongside....and thanking God today, too. From where I stand, your life is a constant pointing up to Jesus, the author and finisher. So beautiful. Love you.
